Edwino S. Fernando

Dr. Edwino S. Fernando is a Professor at the Department of Forest Biological Sciences, College of Forestry and Natural Resources, University of the Philippines Los Baños, and the Curator of the Jose Vera Santos Memorial Herbarium, Institute of Biology,
University of the Philippines Diliman. He is a forest botanist and plant taxonomist specializing in biodiversity and protected areas, conservation policy and planning, and forest restoration using native species. He has authored and co-authored numerous scientific and technical papers, mostly on plant biodiversity and taxonomy, including the discovery and description of several species new to science.
