Mariano Roy M. Duya

Mariano Roy M. Duya holds a Ph.D. in Biology from the Institute of Biology, University of the Philippines Diliman, and an M.Sc. in Wildlife Studies from the Institute of Biological Sciences, University of the Philippines Los Baños. He is also an Assistant Professor and the curator of the Vertebrate Museum of the Institute of Biology. His research interests are on taxonomy, biogeography, and ecology of wildlife vertebrates. He has authored and co-authored scientific publications on the taxonomy and ecology of Philippine wildlife. He is currently a member of the IUCN SSC Small Mammal Specialist Group and the Chair of the Mammal technical working group under the Philippine Red List Committee (PRLC) of the DENR Biodiversity Management Bureau.
