The UP Diliman Institute of Biology's Jose Vera Santos Memorial Herbarium and the UP Biology-EDC BINHI Threatened Species Arboretum will receive the 2020 Gawad Tsanselor sa Natatanging Programang Pang-Ekstensiyon on February 28, 2020 at the Main Hall Stage of the UP Theater.
The UP IB herbarium and arboretum are managed by members of the Biodiversity Research Laboratory. The herbarium offers plant identification services with the expertise of Mr. Ramon Bandong and the assistance of Ms. Abigail Garrino and Mr. David Justin Ples. The arboretum offers guided tours regularly, most prominently in 2019 as part of UP Diliman's Lakad Gunita Walking Tours from February to March. The UP IB herbarium and arboretum are headed by Dr. Lillian Jennifer Rodriguez and Dr. Edwino Fernando.
